Homework#3

Today we discussed the language of clothes. After listening to the lecture and the meaning of colors in clothing, answer the following questions:

1. Do you judge people according to what they wear? Why?

A.I don't like to judge only outside but I sometimes judge first impressions. I think that first impressions are the most lasting. I'm often told from my boss that you should give service with a smile because my boss know that smiles make a good impression on guests. And, I know that sensitive about my appearance will be good for making a first impression. So in my opinion, research has not shown that we judge outside but it's bad to see only outside.

2.Do you think Japanese society puts an importance on clothing when judging other people from another country?

A.No,I don't. I think Japanese are more smart dresser than foreigner but we have a yen for foreigner. So we like them to their mood and character. Foreigner have a different thing from Japanese. In my opinion, it's important that how someone feel to see foreigner's mood and emotion.

3.What colors are you wearing now?Do they reflect your mood?

A.I'm wearing a purple parka and black pants right now. It doesn't reflect my mood. Easy-to-wear is most important for me. So I wear without reference to colors. But I sometimes choose the light colors that I can look sweet to wear when I meet boyfriend.

Next week we will discuss friends, please prepare by answering the following questions:

1. What are some subjects that you will never discuss with a friend?

A.I talk about many topics with my friends. But I don't ask my friends about my problems. I can express my opinion and they never think that I don't get a bee under my blanket for them. But that's not to say that I hate to say it. I don't know exactly when to talk to them about my problem. So I try to talk it.

2.Do you have different friends for different parts of your life? If so, how are they different to you? Do you talk about different things? Go to different places? Give me some examples.

A.Of course, yes I do. We have different parts each and all. I have a friend when I was a high school student. She likes to wear punk style and gothic lolita style. So when I go shopping with her who is wearing it, people stare at us out of novelty. But we take no thought it and we don't need to get up tight. I assume that we have different parts each and all because we don't live the same place, we don't the same spot for working.
